What Does a Sunday Worship Service Look Like?
God has granted us “all things that pertain to life and godliness” through the knowledge of Christ. In Him we have “precious and very great promises” (2 Peter 1:3–4). So we gather each Sunday centered on Jesus Christ—revealed in the Holy Scriptures—and we pray that the Holy Spirit awakens us again and again to His glory and beauty.
Christ is both our foundation and our exaltation, so we aim for every part of our service to lift Him high and make His gospel clear.
We Preach the Word
We proclaim Jesus Christ—promised, incarnate, perfect, crucified, risen, reigning, and returning. Our sermons are expositional, shaped by the conviction that the main point of the sermon should be the main point of the biblical text. We trust that through the Word, the Spirit warns, comforts, and produces joy in His people (2 Timothy 4:2).
We Sing the Word
We want the Word of Christ to dwell richly in us (Colossians 3:16), so our singing is intentionally Christ-centered. Our songs are also congregational so we can hear and encourage one another as we sing (Ephesians 5:19).
We Pray the Word
We pray in light of Scripture, trusting Jesus’ promise that when His words abide in us, our prayers align with His will (John 15:7). We plead for the Lord to give us life according to His Word (Psalm 119:25).
We Read the Word
We devote ourselves to the public reading of Scripture, believing God forms and feeds His people through His Word (1 Timothy 4:13).
We See the Word
We cherish baptism as a visible picture of the gospel (Romans 6:1–4) and rejoice whenever we are able to baptize new believers. We also receive the Lord’s Supper each week as a reminder of what Christ has done for us, is doing for us, and will do for us (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
We Encourage by the Word
Before and after the service, we aim to build one another up (1 Thessalonians 5:11), exhort one another daily (Hebrews 3:13), and stir one another up to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24–25).
Kids in Worship
We love having children in our worship gathering. Scripture welcomed “men, women, and little ones” to hear God’s Word together (Deut. 31:12), and we value families learning to worship side by side.
As we grow, we plan to offer children’s ministry for toddlers and preschoolers. For now, kids are gladly welcomed to remain in the service with their families.
There’s space in the back to walk with little ones during the service, and the playground just outside is available before, after, or as needed during the service.
